The view was nice. The food was decent and the server was nice. Although the dogs on the property were little beggars while eating. The swimming area was small and water shallow. You couldn’t snorkel outside the ropes because of the wave runners and boats speeding by. They offer kayaking and boat rides but no prices to rent are posted. You need to haggle. I ask about the kayaks, the girl said $25 for 10 minutes. Really ? And you had to stay in the small cove. Could not go past the red buoys. I ask about the boat rides, either glass bottom or speed boat . The guy said $30 for a 25 minute ride. That was a decent price, until I ask who was driving. He introduced me to 2 guys who had beer in hand, who I had seen drinking and smoking weed from the time we got there. I WILL NOT get in a boat with impaired drivers. The girl who was working there putting the wave runners in the water was smoking a joint too. The souvenir shop guy was smoking pot. The smell of pot got so strong we left early because it was making me SICK.
I know its legal and if that’s what your into, this is the place for you.

Calm little secluded beach, However a lot of stray dogs are on the property and they literally sit and linger by your table as you dine . That was Huggggeee NO For my partner and I , we ordered wings and jerk pork - the wings were a solid 7/10 but the jerk pork was dry and bland - 4/10 do not recommend and they DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS as a method of payment 👎🏾

A beautiful beach, $500JMD to enter. Lots of lovely photo spots and we all enjoyed our food, especially the bbq jerk chicken. The cocktails are nice however overpriced for a small cup. I would advise getting there early as it does get crowded and you won’t get a sun bed. Our waitress was lovely and attentive.

Mahogany Beach is a great place to watch the day go by. It's a beautifully tranquil beach. There is a small fee to enter, but it is a small price to pay for such a well staffed beach.
On the site, there is a gift shop and regular stalls for the locals to sell their crafts and wares. The bar serves full food, and the drinks are well stocked. The staff are friendly and happy to accommodate off menu cocktails. There is plenty of seating located throughout the beach.
The sea bed is a bit rocky in places, but the sand is soft underfoot everywhere else. Apparently, there are mineral pockets in the sea, so be prepared to experience warm spots throughout the area.
I don't know if you can still access it, but there is a little entrance to the side of the cave where you can have a nice adventurous climb back up to the road.
What's great about this beach is that you can enjoy a full day here. You can turn up and spend the day just lounging or you can hop on a catamaran trip or participate in the many watersports (subject to booking availability) or you could just enjoy full access to the beach.
What's not so great, the resident dog family. They are so sweet and passive, but I'm just not a fan. Despite this, I enjoy this beach so much that I'm going to let that one slide.

STAY AWAY from this place! Horrible!! We fell victims to a tourist trap where they approached us at the cruise terminal and "recommended" this beach. $20.00/person to get there, then another $10.00 to get to the beach- that included a umbrella and chairs. Chairs were breaking under us, dirty and old. Cramped beach with barely any sand, lots of stray dogs sleeping under tourists' chairs, music so loud that gave us all headaches, small boats coming and going from the already small swimming area. Some kind of canals on the property with dirty, still water in. But, the most horrible thing was getting in the ocean. The designated swimming area is small and about 5 feet deep, if you swim and step out of the designated area, the ocean floor feels muddy and just weird. An employee came after us and told us to come back into the designated area and said there was sewage water where we were. Sewage on the ocean floor- last thing you want to be swimming into. Just praying we did not catch some skin disease there. That place needs to be closed. We cut the stay short and left after an hour. Please don't take your kids there!

Lovely beach, small but nice atmosphere. You have to pay to access because. I would recommend.

Mahogany Beach is quite unique. From the photos it looks like a little beach with not much to it. But when you get there, there is a restaurant and a bar, music, hut that you can pull the chair under if it gets too hot, but the big bonus of this cool little beach is that there is a natural springwater pool behind the sitting area that you can swim in. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It feeds into the beach water, so you will find people in the water looking for cold spots. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experience. I love Jamaica! Caribe condos are right next to the beach and right in the center of everything you want to see in Ocho Rios. I highly recommend staying there, which is less than 1000 feet from this adorable beach. The food was really good at the beach, conch fritters, jerk chicken, etc. there is also plenty of water sports available right there. You can’t go wrong.

We were staying at an Airbnb about 2 miles away but didn't realise this place existed. No sign posts etc. The area is mainly Sandals private beach with no public access. A friend recommended it and we got there in about 4 minutes in a taxi for reasonable price. Like many places in Jamaica there is dual pricing with residents paying less than visitors. We paid about $10 US which includes sunbeds and some shade. Great area for children to explore and not bad snorkelling. I always prefer small beaches to long stretches so this fits the bill. There is the sea and a paddling pool. Sand was clean and no waves. Like most places in Jamaica prices are more expensive than Europe! How can they be? It's no wonder that people are flocking to all inclusives. But we had a very nice day, staff were friendly, dogs also. A Taxi driver tried to charge stupid money for our return but didn't put up too much argument and we paid just the equivalent of double UK price

Dreadful place...water in "swimming area" is dirty, sand underwater feels slimey suggesting possibility of sewage access, combined with lack of water movement due to area blocked from any wave movement by docked trip catamarans and floating bar. At some stage in the past this looks as though it was designed to be part of a pleasant hotel complex but it has been allowed to fall into radical disrepair. What was once a large swimming pool, situated now above the toilets, is now drained of water but full of hundreds of broken sun chairs/loungers, an old battered canoe and what looks like an old kitchen stove. Entry costs 10 US dollars pp and includes the use of a sun lounger but for me if you've got a choice stay in your hotel or on your cruise ship.

I do not know...You would have to contact the beach/facility manager. His name is Earle but I do not know how to reach him. Sorry I can not be of much help..

No need to pre-register for the beach- just show up! You may book a tour company in advance that will take you to the beach but the beach does not have any registration (or fee to use it).
