You can use subway to get there. There is a subway station right in front of the market and it is very easy to find.

Hi, it has to be open. Public holiday is only the first of January. Opening hours are 9 am to 6 pm, usually, but some shops can open or close earlier or later.

I used to get up at 8 am and the market was already open. And I got back by 10 pm and was closing

To be specific the nearest subway is Nipponbashi, an interchange station. The Kuromon Market is situated next to it. If you are in Namba area, just walk over. This is a covered market, so you are safe in a rainy day, except for the few meters from the subway exit. There is a lot of food available and I ate the sea urchin, it was really fresh and nice. Grocery shopping is available and on the first lane, there is a Korean kimchi stall. I, also saw a pharmacy shop and another that was selling lots of kitchen ware. As I understand from my hotel, shops in the Kuromon Market, closes, when they sell out their stocks and anything after 1PM, may not see the whole glory. Mandarin is spoken by the retailers to cater to the Chinese market. I would recommend that you reach there at about 10AM and that will give you some leeway in combing the market thoroughly and enjoying yourself. Cheers

I visited early in the morning 9ish., full of atmosphere even then. I would imagine in the evening would hold special surprises and memories.

I was there around 11pm May 2015.I and my family ate lunch at sushi bar(on plate one hundred yen).very good taste,so,we were happy and satisfied.I look up (serch) about Kuromon Ichiba(Market) website.there are map,about stores,directions,etc..But I could not find the operating hour.Perhaps,Firstly some stores open about 9am,and many stores open around 10am ,and many stores close around 5pm .I am sorry I don't know exact time though.
