Everyone should experience Stush in the Bush at least once in their lifetime. The hosts focus on plant based cuisine. Don't be dismayed. I visited and found simply excellent food.
The ambiance is creative with the best vibez. As soon as I saw Chris waving , waiting to greet us at the bottom of the hill, my spirit was uplifted. I knew we had made a good decision to spend the day in "The Bush." Christopher and Lisa Binns have created a niche experience that is tasty, exciting, educational and a party for the palette. The flavors and textures of all the courses made my taste buds dance. I would return again and again.
The staff was courteous and friendly - an added pleasure.
Thank you for a perfect day.

This was the most expensive trip went did during our holiday and it was worth every penny. Lisa and Chris have created the most beautiful space in sympathy with the local environment in the course of their 16 year marriage , it is an almost spiritual experience.
After the challenging drive up the hill from Priory we were collected by Chris and warmly welcomed into their oasis . A natural canopy provided by a mango tree and, I think , a pimento tree over a clearing was the setting for our introductory hors d’oeuvres . A creative selection of taste explosions to introduce us to Lisa’s exciting vegan food . She had taken the care and trouble to prepare variations of certain dishes to cater for a selection of food intolerances within our 20 strong group which were all very clearly labelled.
After this we had a short walk around the area to a viewing platform and a chance to see the local area from up high , Jamaica is so lush and beautiful.
We relocated to the dining area, on the site of Chris’s original cabin which now houses a large kitchen as well as the seating area . We enjoyed a mostly Mexican themed dinner with some delicious wine , I felt the food was exceptional. Lisa introduced each course with an explanation of the origins and thought processes behind the menu , her passion shines clearly.
We will return on our next holiday here , if you haven’t been to Stush you’ve haven’t been to Jamaica!

Beautiful, beautiful experience. Visiting Lisa & Chris' place was probably the highlight of my vacation. My friends & I couldn't stop talking about it and sharing photos even after we were back home in the states. The food & wine paring --- chef's kiss. We ate very well, were immensely satisfied and could definitely appreciate their concept of verbally expanding on each dish before presenting them: how each dish was created & prepared, the ideas & imagination that went into their creations, the perfect, perfect blends of fresh herbs & spices. I remember my friends & I saying how if we could prepare these dishes back home every single day we would definitely try our hands at it, and Lisa just happened to share that she's working on a cook book! Looking forward to that, needless to say! We will certainly return - no question. I've shared photos & videos with my family who have recently decided to change our eating habits & reintroduce the traditional plant-based, colorful diet that aligns and metabolizes better & was meant for our bodies - people with African ancestry. We have a ranch that sits on 60-acres with fresh fruit, herbs & veggies and to share what Chris & Lisa are doing with my family was exciting, encouraging & inspirational. Now, they all want to visit! I purchased a few items from their shelf (the granola mix, Bay-Jun pepper sauce (Don't Tek a Six for a Nine) and my absolute favorite which I shared with my daughter this morning at breakfast -- Grandma NiNin's Guava Jam. Sooooooo GOOD, omg! I tip my hat to Chris & Lisa and pray continued blessings, protection & prosperity over these two, their staff and all that they are doing. My friends & I were so grateful that they are sharing their wealth with the public. Bless up!

Lisa Binns is very Rude. She had a tone with us, I'm sure if we were of another Race she wouldn't have spoken to use in the level of tone she did. Not to mention Christopher " Rast" Binns. Which part about you ah Rasta. Mr Binns gave us the silent treatment when his "wife" yelled at him for trying to accommodate a situation, THEY messed up on. What are you doing for Bamboo community btw. You sell Jamaica and the culture to others but do nothing for the communities. Remember where you are...you're on my island, not yours. Ppl stop hype off of this place. They're not good.

Amazing adventure, a must do if you go to Jamaica. Unbelievable vegan experience in the bush. The food is amazing, the couple who runs this place explains every detail, it is like a food show. The couple are awesome hosts. This is an experience like no other. Love it

If you want your palate to explode with flavor, I HIGHLY recommend a visit. I’ve been to 49 countries, and never have I had a culinary experience like this! Lisa and Chris opened up their home and heart for us to experience life more abundantly. And believe me, the food was in abundance. Each dish was elegantly plated and delicious! Fresh, organic, sweet, salty, savory food made love to your palate. At times I had to close my eyes and chew, just to savor every morsel of food in my mouth. The tour of their Farm made me fall in love with nature all over again. We were impressed with Chris’s knowledge of all the foliage around. The peace and serenity up on the deck, made you feel that all was right with the world. I wanted to hang a hammock and stay forever.

Stush in the Bush is the definition of love. From the meal that was lovingly prepared, to a farm that is an expression for love of the earth, to the warmth of Chris,Lisa and their team, it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the service was attentive. It is a leisurely meal filled with stories about each dish and the people who made it. The setting in the mountains was beautiful too. I would highly recommend it!

Lisa leads a very talented team of local cooks and servers making very creative food - often decontructions, riffs or plant-based reconceptions of classic dishes. Sometimes earthy, sometimes fancy, sometimes exotic, usually surprising, always delicious and made with local ingredients. Many courses of tapas sized servings spread out over 4-ish hours with Lisa telling an interesting story about each dish. I didn't want to go when I heard how long it takes but a friend talked me into it and it was fun and the time flew by. Plus you need the time to handle all the food without it being too much. I'll go again just for the food but the scene is fun too. It's a large interesting property in the hills above Priory. They've built a very cool wooden dining room and open kitchen that can be opened up to the air - great environment and atmosphere, good vibes with other guests. We took a walk around between courses - Chris had good stories about the living things. They have an amazing pack of gorgeous friendly enormous dogs who greet and escort you too.

Many will feel that the price/cost is a turn-off, however, for people who visit Jamaica and want a "different experience", this should be on the list. For those into plant-based food or even sustainability, this is the experience for you. For the adventurous traveler who may even be a meet lover try the experience.
I dined with a large group and we all were so impressed and "thankful for the experience" The wonders of the land and what can be produced and turned into such a beautiful meal. The setting was nothing short of inviting and chic, however natural and airy. It gave me a new understanding of appreciating sustainability and how important protecting land and the environment. The care and love that Lisa and Chris showed are warm and welcoming like old friends. . They are a lovely couple. Lisa is feisty and captivating. Chris is just cool and you feel like you could hang out with him all day.
The staff is/was lovely. They were accommodating and took pride in being a part of the team.
The menu and drinks are delicious. It's so different if you are a creature of habit and not open to trying different foods and experiences do not go. Also definitely go with others that can share your appreciation. You will not be disappointed.

My favourite‘restaurant’ in the entire world… I put the word Resturant in speech marks as it’s more of an experience than a meal.

I scoured the reviews and although everyone mentions that dining here is a bit pricey, no one is saying how much!? Can anyone give a rough idea of the cost per person in USD? Thanks very much in advance! :)

It’s been a while since I went but if you plan for around $100 per person you should should be okay. It is a bit pricey I know, but I promise that the experience is worth every penny.

What clothes should ladies wear? Is it casual dress or can you wear say a long kaftan? Are there lots of mossies? Do you need a throw over? Thanks a lot!

About a 30-40 min drive. Maybe best to call Stush in the Bush and explore your options with them. Also remember they only do by reservation.

She does have specific classes (not sure of when though) where I think she makes the spreads/jams etc. In terms of the meals you eat throughout the day, you don't really help with that - except we had pizza at one point and we were allowed to choose what we wanted to put on the pizza, put in it a bowl and take it to the BBQ and put it on ourselves. I would not call that - helping to cook, but

Traveling to us from the main arteries is fine. Once you reach the village of Free Hill we meet you on the main road, assist with parking and then bring you down to the farm.
