CLOSED
A pity the Council can’t lift their game and solve the problem as to why it’s closed. Looks like a lovely walk from the Discovery Centre which is currently being painted in preparation for a mural.

Located off the main road is this hidden under rated gem. It was such a great stop for a half n hour walk or so. You can walk out into the wharf and right out onto a long piece of land that goes a fair distance out to sea. It has beautiful rocks either side of it and is an easy walk for anyone. It’s a perfect spot for some family photos. Lots of car parks and just in front of it is boards which tells you about local wildlife and fish. Lots of grass for picnics and BBQs are available as well. Very clean and well maintained.

Hubby and I had a wonderful vist to the centre and walk along the jetty. We saw over 160 beautiful black swans in the estuary plus a stunning eagle sitting up in tree. We thought we were looking at a couple of fish but on closer inspection we realized it was a magnificent stingray.

Heading north from Bunbury we came across this Beautiful little reserve with picnic areas and many information boards describing the unique area. You park and walk off across the wooden jetty over the waterway, really special & relaxing. with lots of bird
life & calming waters with fishermen around enjoying their sport !

This is a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the Leschenault Estuary. It's right in Australind, and only a short drive from Bunbury. The Leschenault Waterways Discovery Centre & Jetty Walk has lots of interpretive information about the biology and environment, with multiple posters and plaques. There's also toilets and ample parking. We walked on the jetty and all the way to the end of the pier, which is about 1km in length. A lovely walk, with lots to see, including fish and water birds. It was a sunny day with calm water, and was truly spectacular. Some people were fishing at the end of the trail as well. We were here for about 90 minutes, and had a lovely walk. Recommended especially for a sunny and quiet day.
