Voilà une rando qui restera gravée dans nos mémoires !
Une véritable plongée dans une jungle luxuriante, l'eau ruisselle de partout, on marche entre des fougères géantes, le sentier passe carrément sous une cascade, il est parfois creusé à même la paroi rocheuse, le dépaysement est TO-TAL !!
Et la découverte de Evans Lookout après la bonne bavante de remontée, très chouette aussi.
Nous avons fait beaucoup de randos mais celle-là est une de celles qui nous a procuré le plus de sensations et d'émotions.
Si on est dans le coin, et qu'on a un peu d'entraînement, à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !!

We walked the track on Sunday, Aug 20. We walked a moderate pace and finished 2.5 hours. The air was so fresh, the greenery was vibrant, and it was so relaxing. If I had been alone and familiar with the track, I would have brought a book or meditated.
Be sure to bring you don't mind getting muddy. Also, go very early in the day and during the off season so you dodge the crowds.

Simply the best walk inhale ever done. Make sure you draw for the conditions.

The Grand Canyon track in Blue Mountains was an incredible hiking adventure for our family! Our 8-year-old was so excited to explore the canyon walls and rainforest, and the trail did not disappoint.
The well-maintained path offered a great mix of challenging sections and easy stretches, making it perfect for families with kids. We loved discovering the various waterfalls along the way - each one was more stunning than the last. The rushing water and mist created a serene atmosphere.
The lush rainforest and stunning canyon walls made for some truly breathtaking views.
Despite being classified as a Grade 3 walk, we found it to be doable for families with children with decent walking experience.
Overall, the Grand Canyon track was a wonderful family-friendly hiking experience and we highly recommend it to others!

We hiked this trail in the rain, the hike is quite demanding with huge amount of steps (natural and made) into and out of the canyon.
During the rain there was amazing waterfalls everywhere, it’s one of the most spectacular hikes we’ve ever done.

The Grand Canyon track is one of the best hikes and also most challenging trails I’ve ever walked.
We hiked the track on a wet cool day with steady rain the whole way.
Although this made it a bit muddy and slippery, the waterfalls and creek crossings were amazing, the N.Park workers have done an incredible job with the steps and trail to make it very accessible for most hikers.

A perfect walk to work off the scones and cream that are a must when visiting the Blue Mountains! Challenging and moderate in equal parts but the waterfall and easy walking tracks make this walk a few hours well spent.

Such a spectacular walk. Lots of steps but they are well constructed and many have hand rails. Beautiful waterfalls and rainforest through the bottom of the canyon. We walked this easily I n under two hours.

We did the walk with 2 teenagers and a 72 yr old in 2.5 hours from the grand canyon walk car park to evans lookout, leaving a car at each end to bypass the 1.5 km bit along the road. We did it slowly in 2.5 hours and it was almost exactly 5km. I’d recommend going in the grand canyon walk car park end as it seems the steeper end, and is a spectacular descent and better appreciated going down than huffing and puffing coming up. The Evans lookout ascent is not as spectacular. The track is very well maintained with stone steps and railings along a lot of it. It’s pristine down there and magical, especially when it’s wet after recent rain.

The most amazing hike I have ever done.
It is a 6km circuit with constant stairs going up and down. I did the walk counter clockwise starting at the grand canyon loop carpark. This meant that you are rewarded at the end after the large staircase with the amazing view of Evans lookout which I recommend!

Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to visit both the Grand Canyon track and Scenic World in a day trip? I'll be travelling from the Central Station area in Sydney, so the trip to Katoomba will take a while. I'm thinking of taking a taxi from Scenic World to the Grand Canyon track to save some time..
