Wonderful experience
I loved my cooking class. I learned so much and had a lot of fun.
Matsu is a great teacher and a very nice person. He was so kind to take me to a store to show where to buy knives and pans.
Highly recommend his class. This will be a remarkable experience in Japan.

Kind and generous instructor, delicious food!
Matsu was a very kind, generous, and warm host and instructor. He taught us several dishes, all of which were simple to make and delicious: oyakodon (chicken egg over rice), miso soup, tamagoyaki (really fun to cook!), and a cucumber shiso pickled salad (my favorite -- super simple and something I'd never had before). After cooking together, we shared the lunch with Matsu and his daughter. I mentioned to Matsu I was in the market to purchase a Japanese handmade chef knife, and he was so kind as to take us to his favorite shops in the nearby Kappabashi cookware district.
Thank you Matsu, we really appreciate it and had lots of fun!

Learn to cook Japanize meals with fun.
We prepared a complete 5 set meal under Matsu supervision.
He was very patient and explained the food preparation in detail adding some interesting tips.
The atmosphere is friendly, and you feel like at home in his apartment.
We prepared the meal using all ingredient from base.
The most fun part was trying to do the Japanize omelette.
At the end of the meal we tasted different types of Japan Shochu kindly offered by our host.
It is highly recommended to all Japanize food interested and curious.

It was funnier than I expect it.

It wasn't only learn how to cook japanese food (temakizushi), but also share an amazing experience with people from different countries, watching a performance of nankin tamasudare, playing and sharing tea while chatting about Japan, your own country...

Nice atmosphere, nice people. Thank you for the experience.

Nice home-cooking experience
What a nice experience! It is like you're a guest with a family. You immediately feel at ease in the beautiful apartment. Matsu and his son Shu are really nice hosts. Matsu has given us a lot of information about cooking as well as about the neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Wonderful experience--family style!
Matsu-san met me at my hotel and walked me to his apartment for my "Breakfast in Asakusa." Matsu san and his son made me feel very welcome in their modern Japanese apartment. I felt more like an honored guest than a customer. I learned how to make tamagoyaki correctly. Also, as the only guest that morning, I was able to follow what was going on in the kitchen easily. Seeing dashi made is much clearer than a recipe. You get full instructions and recipes. And if his son is there he will be the one to show you how to make an origami name-tag! It was a wonderful experience. Arigatou Matsu san!

A friend and I enjoyed this cooking class during our trip to Japan.
Among noisy Tokyo, the place was miraculously quiet and comfortable.
The host was so hospitable and quick to respond to any question
of us. We are all impressed by how to cook delicious dishes out
of simple ingredients. So fun! If you seek for something real,
don't miss it.

Asakusa Area Hands-On Tour!
I had friends from Ireland visiting and wanted them to experience
a hands-on Japanese cookery class. As Asakusa was already on the itinerary
we went for CookJPN- as they're only 10 mins walk from the main temple area.
It was perfect- homely, tailor-made, tasty and not all that expensive.
We went for the Rolled Omelette which was ridiculously easy but had
we had booked the day before could have had much more challenging options
such as the Nabe Hotpot. So simple and so much fun.
Highly recommended.
