The park is the backdrop to the Castle of the Herd, which can be visited in conjunction with the visit of the Palace of Venaria.
In case of a “complete” trip, Recommendation to start from this Castle and then move to the Palace and its gardens.
The park is particularly large, accessible on paved roads and dirt roads. Near the climb to the Castle the accesses are on stone cobbles for which care must be taken.
There are many people running or cycling. The wooded part is very refreshing. Inside there are fountains to quench your thirst and "cool off"

I leave from Turin West, by car to go running and train in that fantastic park, which has changed more and more over the years until today, when as soon as I arrived I noticed a real mess, dozens and dozens of cars entering the inside the park, I tried to ask the girls at the entrance who regulate the flow why all these cars are inside the park, they reply that since they have booked at the Bar or Restaurant, they are allowed to enter, while a family on the threshold of the gate with 2 tiny dogs denied him access, telling him that the dog could disturb the wildlife. "I BELIEVE THAT ALL THESE CARS DRIVING AROUND THE WILDLIFE IS MUCH MORE DISTURBING"

I'll start with the negative things. The castle's CAFETERIA is a disgrace both for the furnishings which seem to have been taken from a landfill and for the cleanliness. The drinks fridge. It has windows that haven't seen a rag since the times of the Savoy. Plastic tablecloths on the tables. Ashtrays in the entrance are full. How can it be managed by a box. What do the students learn? Positive considerations the CASTLE is very beautiful with original furnishings it is worth a visit after a walk in the park which is always beautiful highly recommended. If you don't want to get there on foot there are bike rental points

Surrounded by greenery, a stone's throw from the city but with a country atmosphere. Dedicate a day to it, at the top of your game with your bike.

The Mandria park is a huge protected natural area located near the famous Venaria Reale and is also populated by various species of wild animals. Within this vast reserve it is possible to do various outdoor activities ranging from simple walks on foot or by bicycle with the possibility of renting bikes on site, or enjoy a carriage ride or have a picnic in the designated area equipped. Inside the park there is also the castle of the same name, which can be partially visited and near which there is also a small café. The park has several entrances, near which there are also parking areas and information kiosks where it is possible to obtain a map. It should be noted that dogs cannot be brought into the park.

All quite neglected and decadent. There is a lot of chaos around the castle, few indications... it deserves more attention.

A very beautiful park. As for the part around the castle, I was a little disappointed and saddened. Such a beautiful place but it gives an idea of neglect and disorder. The directions inside the park to reach the castle are a little lacking and not very precise. The bar "Royal Coffee Shop" has very little of real. The visit inside was well organised.

Bellissimo il parco, un sogno verde, molto interessante l'interno, un rifugio romantico davvero "umile". La guida con la sua innata ironia e la sua spiccata preparazione ci ha accompagnato nel viaggio della Mandria per carpirne tutto i segreti, per cercare di addentrarci nella vita amorosa dei due amanti, delle stanze meravigliosamente arredate, dalla mostra dei trofei di caccia del Re. Un luogo super affascinante, anche i giardini reali e il palazzo reale non sono da meno poi ( abbiamo visitato tutto in giornata). Che dire, un'esperienza regale!

Bellissimo! Mi ha reso estremamente felice e ottimista aver visto che una tale estensione di verde sia rimasta intatta negli anni, libera da speculazioni edilizie: solo natura, cascine, palazzi sabaudi, persone a piedi e in biciletta: bravi davvero gli amministratori. Questa volta va detto perchè in Italia ne abbiamo visti troppi di Parchi e Riserve abusate.
Ho noleggiato la bici con la famiglia al fornitissimo Rent a Bike interno dei giardini della Reggia di Venaria: ci hanno fornito cartina e spiegazioni dettagliate (prezzi davvero bassi) e ci siamo goduti la biciclettata nel verde, culminata con la visita del castello della Mandria e un gelato nel bar vicino.
Ci tornerò ovviamente per visitare la restante parte del parco che non sono riuscita a vedere.
Ho noleggiato la bici con la famiglia al fornitissimo Rent a Bike interno dei giardini della Reggia di Venaria: ci hanno fornito cartina e spiegazioni dettagliate (prezzi davvero bassi) e ci siamo goduti la biciclettata nel verde, culminata con la visita del castello della Mandria e un gelato nel bar vicino.
Ci tornerò ovviamente per visitare la restante parte del parco che non sono riuscita a vedere.

Sinceramente non ricordobenec ho fatto tutto sul sito della venaria ed ho optato per il ticket che includeva venaria e mandria che le consiglio vivamente di visitare mi raccomando tutto mi pare a 20 euro saluti

Ci sono a disposizione anche bici con rotelle? invece le bici coi seggiolini bisogna prenotarli?

Allora, informazione ricevuta oggi al box turismo dell' ingresso, ci sono bici per bambini, ma solo senza rotelle e bici per adulti, con il seggiolino per i piccoli.
Mi e' stato detto che non necessita la prenotazione, ma la disponibilita' e' ad esaurimento.

No. Alla mandria è vietato introdurre cani anche al guinzaglio, anche se di piccola taglia.
Per una questione di igiene e perché se si perdessero passerebbero dei giorni prima di ritrovarlo visto la vastità del parco.
