The group before us said they didn't see any manatees, our captain said he hadn't seen any manatees all day and we didn't see manatees or for that matter hardly any "wildlife" ... so where are the manatees?
Our captain said the water is too warm during this time of year to see manatees - wait until the weather turns cold and the manatees come to the shallow warmer water.
So why offer this tour in December or why not provide this information to manage expectations on the website?
I understand that manatees aren't just waiting for us, that it is not an aquarium, but people book it to see manatees. We did see birds - which can be seen on the beach in Marco. One alligator and the back end of one dolphin. This was hardly the wildlife excursion we were hoping for. Besides it was simply boring - we went up the canal and down the same canal.
This isn't inexpensive for the short 1 1/2 hour ride plus the expected 20% tip which has a very prominent sign on the boat. If you try booking as a group on the phone to save 6%, they automatically add on the 20% tip. Do find the local Marco magazine and at least get a $20 off coupon on a trip for 2 or more people.
Departing the boat the captain said, "Since you didn't see manatees you can return again for free" But he didn't know how that was arranged. We aren't tourists, so we might take advantage of the offer - however how? The captain didn't know ... Guess we can take our business elsewhere.
Not recommended.

I initially went last week and didn’t see any manatees. It was a very enjoyable ride however and we saw lots of other wildlife: alligators, birds, fish. Plus, the mangrove trees are incredible!
And, to everyone’s surprise, Captain Jason said the company would honor another try, without charge. Very generous! These animals aren’t circus animals!
I happened to be in the area a second week and gave it another try. There was zero hassle about the free ticket. Very easy! Based on the honor system. 👍
This time, I happened to be assigned to Captain Jason again and we saw a manatee eating for over 20 minutes. Absolutely amazing!!
Highly recommend this company! Nice time on the water. Beautiful and interesting!

Captain Storm was great he had good facts all the jokes (dad jokes) and worked very hard to make sure we saw manatees, which we did. I would go again and do a longer tour for sure. Sign up for the email instructions it sent clear directions on where to park for the free parking and where to meet.

My husband and I enjoyed this tour immensely! We had several manatee sightings and got pretty close to some gators as well. Captain Storm was very entertaining and a great educator on local wildlife as well. A great time and worth the drive from Cape Coral!

Captain Storm was very dedicated to making sure our experience was the very best it could be. We saw a baby calf manatee, along with a couple baby gators and a HUGE gator. He took the time to take pics for anyone that wanted them trying to capture a moment “with” the gator (not getting off the boat of course).

Fun opportunity to see alligators and birds from the water. Our captain shared lots of interesting information and even surprised my daughter with birthday cupcakes! I appreciate small group tours.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We paid $60 per person (x5 people = ~$300) to go see Manatees and didn't see a single Manatee. I asked for a partial refund and "management" said that unfortunately they can't accommodate even a partial refund. I don't think this if fair nor right (and it certainly isn't the way I would do business to keep my customer happy and coming back). As a result, I'm doing my part to ensure YOU are aware there is possibility you won't see any manatees and -- when you don't -- you won't be seeing even a partial refund of the money you spent to see them. Very disappointing.

Dear Dennis,
As the website and our confirmation email states, wildlife is unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed. While we do have a 97% success rate, there is still a chance you will not see one. We wish we could control the wildlife, but this is not a zoo. We offered you a free return trip with no expiration. This is more than most companies would give. You could have taken us up on that free trip today and you would have seen manatees. Every trip today saw manatees. When it comes down to it, if you were to have read the confirmation email, you would have already been aware that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Your threat to post a bad review if we did not refund you is against review guidelines and we will be reporting you.

Captain Storm was a great guide for our trip! Manatees were slow but we did spot one and it was very exciting! His fun facts were interesting and he kept us entertained while we searched. If we are in the area again we would definitely book another sighting! -The Michigan Group

We apologize the wildlife did not cooperate on your tour. We do have a 97% success rate for seeing manatees but unfortunately we cannot control the wildlife and therefore it is still unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed. Our website and confirmation email states this. However, we always offer a free return trip if you did not see a manatee. This is more than most companies do.

We are coming at the end of march and want to know if waters will be cool enough for the Manatees to be around?

Best time of year is the winter, as they migrate to the warmer Florida springs, so March should not be bad. I am not an expert, but I think the concessions will give you an honest answer and more detailed explanation of what to expect

Water was very calm the day we went. It’s a canal so not too wide or deep. I sometimes have motion sickness too but no problems that day. It’s a small pontoon “party boat” and there were 5 people on it so they limit people. Have fun. We enjoyed it!!.

Not sure if you can book private. However, they can only fit 6 guests on each boat so depending on the size of your group it could end up private. Any party over 6 people and they add an extra boat.
I was solo thus I ended up with a few other ladies who had room.
Hope this helps.
I would like to buy this as a gift for my daughter and her husband who live by here. Can I buy tickets for a date far in advance and they can change it to the date they want?
