My husband and I had an amazing time here! First time swimming with manatees and there is no way to prepare for the magic that you experience. Our guide, Gaby, and captain, Alex, were amazing and truly made our trip memorable. We learned a lot about the gentle giants and would recommend Fun2Dive over any other company!

We had the best day ever today with Josh and the rest of the very friendly team at FUN2DIVE excellent service all round and got to meet some friendly manatees up close absolutely amazing THANKS

This was unreal. Had such an amazing time. Captain Gavin and our guide Megan were fantastic. Facility was clean and easy to find. Spend most of the time in the water and got great pictures. If your looking for a tour to see manatees this is a good one

My husband and I visited Crystal River one day during our honeymoon to see what all the hype was about the manatees. Decided to do the 3 hour guided tour with Fun 2 Dive and were blown away by how awesome this trip was! We swam with several manatees and learned a lot about the animals from our dive guide Josh. He and Captain Jason were the best guides! I highly recommend booking with Fun 2 Dive for this extremely cool experience!

Amazing , knowledgeable, friendly and professional. But the manatees?! I am in heaven with the experience. I would recommend to everyone that you need todo once in your life. My experience was nothing less than magical. Tyler and Ryan were amazing

Living in California, swimming with the manatees has been on our bucket list for a while. Crystal and Jason not only met, but exceeded our expectations! They were knowledgeable, attentive, and enthusiastic! I would highly recommend this tour group for a memorable experience!

Jessica and Ryan were great as a tour guide and boat captain. Jessica helped me with my 6 YO grand daughter which was a great help. We had a great time even though the water was very murky. We saw three manatees up CLOSE! VERY CLOSE! It was exciting for both me and my grand daughter.

Our trip started with an excellent day to fun 2 Dive. We snorkeled with the manatee on a private boat. Our group of 4 and Duke our fur family member was incredible. Our water guide Sam did an excellent job guiding us through the waters and Brody our captain was very friendly. We saw many manatee and their beauty was just an awe experience. The respect that our captain and guide have for this creature was obvious and helped us to know the boundaries we were to follow. It all was extremely respectful to the manatee first and it made the experience even better. Being in the world of the manatee with such care for them was inspiring. We were visitors into their world was a beautiful thing. We highly recommend a stop at 3 sisters. Thank you for the great day we will never forget.

Well organized. Maybe a little early in the season as our exposure was really only to one manatee for a short period. One off the bucket list!

Do you need to be able to swim for this? Also, is there a time of year that is optimal to do this as far as maximizing seeing the manatees?

You should be able to at least
dog paddle to feel comfortable when Manatees come close to stay still without scaring them. You are in a wet suit and have a noodle around your waist
Water is cold but this is ideal time when they are all together and easy to find (Jan, Feb, March)

The problem is that the manatees are only in the river and bay in the cold months when they warm up by the springs, so if you go out in fall, spring or summer, you might not see any.
