We learned a lot about the region thanks to our guide Agustin. He introduced us to the bodegas with anecdotes about their respective histories and their particularities. The day was great, we appreciated his humor and the happy atmosphere he was able to bring to the group. Excellent wines by the way!

The scenery was gorgeous and the horses easy to manage. That’s about all I can say that’s positive. Don Daniel would describe this ride as easy. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE INEXPERIENCED OR FEAR HEIGHTS! A few in our group were actually terrified on the way down. Also, the day was so disorganized. Upon arrival, we waited 90 minutes for our horses, with no explanation provided. The asado was pretty mediocre with inferior meat and wine. Our tour guide who spoke English pretty much ignored us. I’m sure there are much better riding experiences in Mendoza.

This was the most fun and memorable experience my husband and I did on my 30th birthday trip to Argentina! Matt was a great lead and Daniel really gave us an authentic encounter with the natural wonders of Gaucho and ranch life. We got to have a little breakfast and tea before we took off on our sweet horses, rode for a perfect amount of time through the mountains, stopped for lunch that Daniel prepared (an incredible array of steaks, veggies, and Malbec!), and then headed back to our hotel in Mendoza. We will remember this day forever. This is a must do if you are traveling to Mendoza!

Fantastic experience in the mountains. The ranch is in a beautiful location and the trek is amazing. The horses are extremely well-trained and it's easy to follow the trail. Tim was an excellent guide and Daniel cooks great asado!

This was a great day in the fall on horseback in the Andes. The day starts with coffee and sopapillas, and Daniel and his crew do a great job. The scenery and views are spectacular, and lunch halfway in the ride is simple but delicious. Chori and beef cooked on a grill, wine, bread, and you can drink the water right out of the glacier-fed stream nearby. This is good for both experienced and novice riders.

It was a brisk winters day when we decided to book the trip. The forecast called for rain in the city of Mendoza but at the altitude of the ranch, that translated into snowfall. Don Daniel and his pack of animals guided us on beautiful ride through running springs, up mountain passes, and through ravines as we found a perfect spot for lunch. After helping Don Daniel collect firewood we warmed our frigid bodies with a roaring fire. We cooked lunch, drank wine, shared stories and laughed all throughout lunch. Then we packed up to take the horses around the side of the mountain. It was one of the most wonderful experiences we’ve ever had. I highly recommend it. Muchas gracias Don Daniel y su familia.

From the organization with Stéphane to the asado on the mountain, the horses, Daniel himself, our guide and even the driver, everything went great and we had a great, relaxing yet engaging day on the mountains.
I have to add that the horses are very well kept and my group and I, containing both unexperienced and experienced horse riders all had a blast. Definitely something to recommend.

O ponto alto da excursão é o Daniel e a sua família, os animais são bem cuidados e todos são muito atenciosos e simpáticos. Porém fiquei um pouco incomodada com a simplicidade da casa e do modo de vida deles. O tour é caro, e eu saí com a impressão de que a família recebe pouco do valor que pagamos, apesar de serem eles quem estão abrindo a sua casa e recebendo os turistas. As agências poderiam ajudar a que eles vivam com mais conforto. Por exemplo, proporcionando uma reforma na casa, que está em estado precário, sem piso por exemplo.

El verdadero gaucho es aquel que vive y trabaja en el campo, los ranchos tradicionales tienen esas fachadas. Y nuestra agencia se enorgullese de tener una verdadera experiencia con un gaucho argentino y su familia , ademas de ayudarlos con el trabajo que se genera, también tenemos responsabilidad social empresarial con su familia. Una pena que usted no se haya molestado en consultarnos personalmente sobre cómo si colaboramos y ayudamos a la familia, antes de emitir un juicio de valor personal, que carece de sentido.
Para la próxima vez que quiera hacer una cabalgata tradicional, común y dónde tenga un piso de concreto, pero caballos explotados hasta morir, le sugiero que no contrate nuestra agencia.

We had a fantastic day out. The views both on the trek and on the way up into the mountains above Mendoza were spectacular. The horses were brilliant and so easy to ride even accross very steep terrain.I had never been on a horse in my life but it was fine and enjoyed every minute as the horses knew exactly where to go and what to do. Some very steep drops on the ride but you could trust the horses - no problem if you have never ridden before but if you are a little uneasy with heights and drops that may be more of an issue, Don Daniel and the guide were great. Well worth the cost

I am not sure, but they may be able to. We were staying in Mendoza City, which, depending where you are in Uco is about an hour to two hours away. After picking us up in Mendoza City, we drove south (towards Uco) for about 30 minutes before turning west into the Andes. You may be able to work out a meet up at the large reservoir, which is on the route. The trip is awesome and worth every effort to make it happen.

Is this trip available to children? My wife, 6 year old son and I are In Mendoza and available on July 27. I am an experienced rider. My wife has ridden before and is competent on a horse. My son has not ridden before. Please advise. —Ben

I hope so because this trip was amazing!! Pretty good docile horses and only some steep areas to go up/down. GREAT experience though, no kids on ours, so my response my not be too helpful!!

Hi there, I have tried to book for Jan 1st 2020 (it was showing availability) and just got notification 30 mins after booking that my booking was rejected and cancelled. Are you operating tours on Jan 1st 2020? We would love to do one then.

I’m coming to Argentina the end of Apri/beginning of May 2019 with my wife for our anniversary and I have heard nothing but great things about this tour. We have been looking forward to this part of the trip however I just noticed that May 1st, which is the only day we could make this tour work with our travel schedule, is unavailable. I was wondering if that is due to the tour being full that day or if there was no tour scheduled that day? In any event what would we have to do to get two tour tickets for Don Daniels Ranch on May 1st 2019? We are very much looking forward to going on this tour. Please advise
