Very nice parks, however, have an evil that makes you think about whether or not to visit the parks and are the cost overruns that come out and that wish they were low, are costs that impact the pockets of visitors, and do not come to me with the logic that they are costs for the proper functioning of the park, and as such are not mandatory but if uncomfortable.
To start tips, even to shake hands to get off a bus they want to ask you tips, tip for him to drive, tip for the one who comments something, tip for the one who picks up the table, etc.. and the tip 5.00 dollars is not tip for them, will they pay a very low salary to their employees? Transport is part of the package taken, why should I give something else to the driver?
The other thing the photos, in some places do not allow you cameras, however special they are for such activity, however the photos have a high cost and when they go to their site to download you realize that some only have 35 photos, where 10 are not even of your family and the price very high.
Other activities, they charge an extra for other activities, which is not bad, but sometimes only that activity costs more than the same package, too expensive for the activity and the time they give it, I do not recommend it.

Very well organized. Excellent pilot who was super helpful in pointing out how to safely explore the glacier. Dress warmly, but don’t worry about boots as they provide boots for walking on the glacier that fit right over your shoes. Flight was smooth with beautiful views. Well worth the price for this once in a lifetime experience!

My family did the Icefield Excursion with Coastal Helicopters on 8/16/2024. It was amazing beyond words!! If you are reading this review and considering booking with Coastal, just do it!
I did extensive research before booking with Coastal Helicopters. I looked at several other companies and excursions before we booked with Coastal. I also researched Herbert Glacier and knew that it was the glacier I wanted us to experience! Coastal had great customer reviews, and I really felt confident booking with them. From start to finish, the whole experience was perfect! Every coastal employee we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and they all seemed to enjoy working for Coastal! You could tell by they way they acted and interacted with the customers. The helicopter experience was incredibly! It was a smooth, beautiful ride with incredible views! Our pilot was Nick. He was very friendly and informative during our flight and during the time on the glacier. He gave us great information and answered our questions. He also spent a good amount of time talking to my teenage son, who wants to fly helicopters as a career.
This was the most amazing experience!
We will remember this day forever! Thank you, Coastal Helicopters!!

Excursion of a lifetime. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Alaska. After reading reviews, we decided to book a trip with coastal helicopters for a helicopter tour and guided ice walk on a glacier. It exceeded our expectations! We met at the Cruise Ship port and were taken to the airport. The company was very professional, staff super friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us some special boots and we were off. We had a group of 3 kids (9,11, 14) and 3 adults. The helicopter ride to Herbert Glacier was spectacular. The glacier landing just blew our minds, the pictures don't do justice. We had some glacier water, heard the history, asked questions, and took pictures. You have no idea the size and enormity of the glacier until you land. This trip was a 10 our of 10. We will definitely go back to Juneau and will definitely book again with Costal Helicopters!!!

Incredible experience taking a helicopter to Herbert glacier. The helicopter ride was super fun, felt safe, and provided great views. The glacier walk was spectacular and it was just our small group. We know the weather doesn’t always cooperate and felt so fortunate to be able to do this - unforgettable experience. The entire staff was friendly & helpful, extremely well-organized tour.

On our day in Juneau we took a tour with Coastal Helicopter. We had a group of 8. We chose the icefield landing tour. We were split into 2 helicopters and were promised that we would land together, this was important since we were split up. I was the unlucky one and didn't get to ride with my immediate family (son, daughter and husband) but I was put in the helicopter with 2 friends, so it was okay.
Lucas and Max were our pilots and both were phenomenal. Both were knowledgeable of the area, and we were even lucky to visit a part of the glacier they had just found the day before. It was beautiful! This was the most expensive tour we did on our cruise and it was well worth the money. I would do it again in a heart beat.
Big thanks to Max and Lucas for all your interaction with our crew, we had a great day.

The pilot of the helicopter was professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. I loved getting to walk around and see the different formations on the glacier. The pilot took lots of photos for us and was very patient as we took lots of photos.

Awesome ride up the glacier. Pilot was very informative and interesting. Walk on the glacier was a once in a lifetime event. Pilot couldn't have been more helpful and nice. Felt safe at all times. Pick up and return went flawlessly and the drivers were talkative and interesting. This is a must do in Alaska.

We has a great trip flown and guided by Michael. This is a “must do” excursion if going to Alaska. Walking on a glacier is beautiful and incredible. Do something few can say they have done!

Any age would find this experience amazing! ( well not a baby or toddler they would not understand, and not sure I would want to take a toddler as there are crevices that they could fall into if unattended when you are on the glacier.

We are taking a cruise to Alaska this May, if our cruise is canceled, does the non-refundable policy apply? With so many cruises being canceled its a tough risk to weigh.

Debating between this tour and another. The other lets me pick the time? I do not see that as an option. How is the departure time determined? Also our ship leaves port at 11pm, but I'm not sure what time we are required to be back on board. Which time are you requesting?
