Great customized day tour. The volcano was erupting and the samarai village was really interesting. The custom tour allowed us to pick and choose the sites that our children would most enjoy

A super nice surprise our visit, very professional in dealing with us, very punctual, careful in all aspects.
Fede the reception we have a mini bus with chauffeur , Guide in English Karin very nice and helpful who by the way spoke some Spanish .. as well as Tadayuki Shimadzu who turned out to be of the fourth generation Lord Shimadzu...
We started with the visit to Sakurajima Island , we moved by ferry (15 minutes) and visited the slopes of the volcano and its surroundings , we saw a movie in the visit center, and then a hearty meal, we toured some of the center of Kagoshima and finally we went to the gardens of the Shimadzu family visited the house with a lot of history.
In 6 hours of much history.. highly recommended.

First off, I’d like to thank Yumi for a wonderful day. The booking of the tour and the communication (via WhatsApp) with the tour provider before the tour was great and helped alleviate any worries. This was a full day tour with several stops. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the beauty of each stop. I have nothing but compliments for Yumi and all the stops we made. Each stop was different from the other, but equally beautiful and interesting. If we ever pass through Kagoshima again, I will not hesitate to do another tour with this company. Hopefully we get to see Yumi again!

If you are looking for an excellent guided tour of Kagoshima, this is your tour guide. Our two families were well taken care of with a tour curated specifically to our request and interests. Tada communicated often and ensured that all of my questions were answered before we arrived. Our guide, Tachi, spoke great English and narrated the day for us. We enjoyed the Chiran Peace Museum, Chiran Samurai Garden, private soba noodle making class and lunch, and a private whisky distillery tasting and tour. A perfect day in Kagoshima. Thank you so much!

We were a large group of 25 seniors. The places we visited were all very nteresting and we learned much about Japanese history and culture. Our English-speaking guide, Hiroki, and tour coordinator, Tada, were exceptionally friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about each place and about Japan in general. They accomodated our special requests for assisting a member in our group who was wheelchair-bound, even adding one additional staff, Koji, to join our group at no extra charge. Tada even took his own photos of the group which he later shared with us . The pre-tour coordination to select the itinerary and lunch options was most efficient.

I cannot recommend this company / tour enough.
We had a bespoke tour for a group of 8. Everything was meticulously organised by Tadayuki and his communications with us were first class. Thank you for the photos you took for us and sent.
Our guide, Hiroko, was engaging, informative and entertaining, even singing traditional Japanese love songs to us, translated into English as she sang. She brought visual aids to help with explanation of the region and history, and the places that we visited. She was so well prepared. Just outstanding!
The Saraku Sand Bath was a wonderful, once in a lifetime, experience. The lunch arranged at the beautiful restaurant was enjoyed by all, including the catering for vegetarians. We gave you a brief and you sure delivered.
The Peace Museum at Chiran we visited was very moving. I wish we had had longer to enjoy the gardens, but you helped us we cram so much into one day.
We also had time to visit the Samurai village, both peaceful and beautiful.
Our driver, sorry did not get his name, had us back to our ship in good time.

This was an amazing tour. We learned so much about the Shimadzu Clan and the culture of Japan. The Shimadzu residence is beautiful and it felt like walking back into the past. We enjoyed looking at the garden which was peaceful and tranquil. The artistry we saw at the glass works and pottery was impressive and beautiful.
We also enjoyed the lunch very much. Thank you Tada and Mio! You helped us make wonderful memories of Kagoshima.

Enjoy our tour from on time start to finish with Tesoro (Ted) and Tadayuki. We were able to see all the places we selected. A detailed tour of Sengan-en house and beautiful gardens. We visited the Satsuma Kiriko Glassworks and watched the making of the fine glassware. Enjoyed a traditional lunch in Kagoshima before continuing on to Chiran. The Peace Museum is a serine and touching tribute to the pilots. We enjoyed the added bonus of visiting while the cherry trees were in full bloom. Which made the town and gardens quite spectacular. We continued on and enjoyed a tea and tour of the Samurai houses before returning. Thanks to Ted, who made an extra effort during the drives to give us information, about the areas we were passing by and what we were about to be seeing. If you ask he might even share a few extra stories and jokes. We would also like to thank Tadayuki for all the photos he took along the way and shared with us. This was a wonderful experience.

Hi, I am interested in this tour, but need to make sure it is wheelchair acccessible vehicle.

I’m not sure if the could accommodate you. On our tour day, we had a guide and a taxi that they had hired. What I would suggest is reaching out to the vendor. Sometimes on the tour page (on Trip Advisor) they list the vendor name. A simple google search will find their webpage and a way to email them. If that doesn’t work, book it with the pay later option. Once the tentative booking is made, they will give you a way to contact the vendor via email. If they can’t accommodate you, cancel the booking. In most cases you can cancel a tour up to 24 hours prior to the tour date. Hope this helps.
