We had an exceptional experience with Kiyoko as our tour guide during our trip to Kagoshima! She took us to some of the most beautiful and historically significant spots in the area, including Sengan-en Garden, where she exemplified extended knowledge of garden’s history and its connection to the Shimadzu family. One of the highlights of our trip was the sushi lunch Kiyoko arranged for us. She took us to a local restaurant and made sure we tried a variety of regional specialties.
Throughout the day, Kiyoko was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. She took the time to answer all our questions, and we appreciated her detailed explanations of the history and culture behind each location we visited. Her warm, polite, and welcoming personality made us feel so comfortable, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience.
If you're visiting Kagoshima, we can't recommend Kiyoko enough. She showed us the best of the city, and made our time there truly special. Thank you, Kiyoko!

Tachi has made our trip more confortable and interesting with his experience in Kagoshima. Funny, friendly and kind gave us some tips of the town. An overwhelming amount in history since Meiji era while seeing Sakurajima in the ferry was one of the highest points

Hello! Thank you very much for such a surprising review! I also appreciate that you joined the Kagoshima tour in late June. It was unfortunate that, due to the rainy season, I couldn't fully introduce you to the grand natural beauty of Kagoshima, which is part of my soul. I hope you enjoyed the cultural experiences at Sengan-en, which was the old villa of the Shimazu clan, along with the snacks and a variety of Kagoshima tea in a cafe. The tour never happened! A tour guide was never found for our paid tour and it was cancelled the day before it was to occur. We were left on our own to figure out what to do and how to see the attractions. I believe this worked to our advantage because the attractions are sparse and you can actually do it all on your own. Still, it would’ve been nice to interact w a local guide.

Had great guide, good views, learned cultural and historical tidbits from our local guide. She took us to a great ramen shop off the beaten tourist path. Very personable and attentive.

We loved our guide, Kiyoko, in Kagoshima. She became our friend as we visited Ibusuki, Lake Ikeda, had a somen-nagashi lunch, and then returned to see Kagoshima. Kiyoko designed an excellent itinerary based on our requests and was equally helpful and friendly with me and my 12 year old son. We would highly recommend her!!

It was a very nice day with Kiyoko. We recommend everyone to take the tour to get to know the city at its best. Kiyoko did her job well. She showed us everything there is to see in Kagoshima.

Excellent guided tour with Kiyoko. We visited Sengan-en, the Japanese garden, the volcano Mt Sakurajima and a couple of stops downtown. Kiyoko was very knowledgeable and planned a great day,
