Hi, The first two thirds of the trek are fairly doable for anyone. You can hike up to this level and then eventually wait there, the scenery and nature at that height is impressive either. The last third is somewhat challenging, I would say it is only for experienced hikers who did already some hiking on rocks in the Alps for example. You would surely need to use both your hands for climbing. Not recommendable to those who suffer from fear from heights. When I did this in February, it was even raining so the rocks were slippery. This I would recommend only to fairly experienced hikers/climbers or to genuine adventurers. Good luck! Milan Sindelka, Czech Republic

Sorry I only just saw your question now (Dec 24). We were carrying backpacks, but we were happier taking them off at times. You'd need to be extremely careful carrying a child. I think I'd advise against it, although you could do the lower section ok.
