First let me just say our guide Petr is awesome!! He does such a great job you’ll feel like old friends at the end. The drive was long but actually felt like two hours because of the beautiful drive along with the great information Petr gives you along the way. We completely recommend this tour even though it’s expensive it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that is totally worth it! The two camps you visit are so touching to walk through! Stop thinking and book now!! And don’t forget to ask for Petr!

The trip to Auschwitz was sobering and seemed fitting we went on a rainy day. It’s a reminder that we cannot let history repeat itself and so glad we went
We were fortunate we had Petr who was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable on history. He also came very prepared to make sure we had a comfortable day with umbrellas and rainwear. Thanks Petr!

We were a family of 18 who took the Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with LUCY TOURS last July 20. I cannot say that it was a nice tour because we were reeling with sympathies, unbelief, anger all the time we were touring the concentration camp. BUT I can say it was a profound, highly emotional tour that everyone should take so that they’ll know the horrors, cruelty, senseless killing that war brings.
From the booking process till the end of the tour, LUCY TOURS was good; they only required a small downpayment then the rest in cash or individual credit cards just before the tour. It was a long drive – 6 hours going to Poland, 3-hour camp tour, then 6 hours driving back to Prague. We had a good guide in Prague who rode with us to Poland, then another Auschwitz guide for the camp. Lucy Tours provided us with a clean, new-looking Mercedes Sprinter that was good for 19 so that we had a comfortable ride with the hotel pillows we brought along.
Be sure to bring water bottles, wear comfortable walking shoes, use sunblock, and an umbrella would help because it is almost 3-hours of fast-paced, continuous walking in gravel and sand along the camp. Thank you LUCY TOURS!

Petr made all of the difference for this experience! He was knowledgeable and very professional. While it was a 15 hour day, he made it feel very easy as he had the process and the day planned out, which really alleviated any concerns. Would highly recommend!!

Petr picked us up on time and took good care of us in the car providing information and stories along the way. A long drive each way but some time to nap and comfort stops.
The actual guided tour in Auschwitz was not done by Petr but he made arrangements for tickets etc. The guide we had was a bit too fast - no time to read the information provided and listen to her.
Thank you for a moving and memorable day.

Petr the guide I would give a 30 out of 10 if possible took us to Schindler’s museum as well as Auschwitz he bought the tickets himself,wow.

Car trip was great, Peter was excellent and took great care to ensure we were comfortable. Regular stops and lovely dinner on way back. Tour guide in the camp was very rushed and didnt allow us enough time to see everything.

We completed this tour on Monday with Petre and it was well worth the 15 hours.
The knowledge he shared with us during the car trip was fantastic about both the Chech Republic and Poland and our dinner in a small hotel was amazing.
We would highly recommend this tour!

We booked this trip at the VERY last minute, but Lucy Tours stayed in contact with us and confirmed a 7:30 pick up. We requested 5am, so we would be back to our hotel before midnight and we were ensured the new time would accommodate. Pietr was our guide and arrived in a clean newer van that was comfortable for a crew of 5 Americans. We slept most of the way to Poland with a stop-off at an updated fuel station that had delicious snacks. Upon arriving in the Auschwitz area, our guide took us to the toilets and paid for our use as we didn't have the currency to do so. Very kind! He guided us to the entrance of the camp, ensured we got all of our information and materials, lead us to an English speaking guide, and informed us where he will be at the end. Our guide didn't go through the camps with us as remembering this history is not something someone wishes to continue to experience.
Our tour started off at Auschwitz I, then we were transported to Auschwitz II extermination camp with the same group we started out with. No review of the camps is necessary, because whatever you think you may know about what went on in the camps, it was actually WAY worse. This experience will never be forgotten.
At the end of the tour, Pietr met us at the transportation van with water and offered to take us to a small town in the Czech to have dinner. This dinner was one of the best we had in all our of European journey. He sat with us and we chatted about life. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and hope to go on another tour with him when we return.

Hi,
Do you stop regularly on the trip? toilet/food etc? Opportunity to see other sites on the way?
I get a bit car sick would I be able to sit close to the front of the vehicle?

Hi we did stop for fuel and toilet break . You can sit in the front sear if you wish.
No you dont stop to visit other sites.
We had a beautiful dinner on the way bavk.
Very relaxing trip overall

We want a driver/guide from Prague to Auschwitz- Birkenau Memorial for all of us on one of these days. We do not need to see other attractions on this trip. There are 10 of us.
