This trip was well worth the money. Plenty to see and do. Some beautiful sights and a good variety of places to see. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and had some interesting experiences to tell us about. We picked up the trip from Port Douglas which was ideal for this area

This was a long day tour. Our guide Jordan was good. The lack of food was not good. The included lunch did not happen until 2:00 and was very mediocre. People should be warned to bring food on this tour. We all bought food for the long bus ride home. I found it very long with not enough stops.

The tour was interesting but we didn’t see much wildlife. That wasn’t the guides fault. The tour guide rushed us thru the stops. He played awful music on the bus

I came as part of a cruise visit, a few things you need to think about, where do I want to eat, most places you need to book, where do I want to visit, we were lucky we just wanted to spend the day at the beach and have a few beers then get back on the boat. Other friends wanted to go further afield and it took them a load of time, they said it was great, however our simple walk to the beach and back we think was the best. In terms of places to eat, I commented earlier that I would not go further than Grant Street for food, the rest looked either average or overpriced and had zero ambiance, apart from the place at the end Zinc. We ate at Grant street bakery and it was great, we also picked up a fantastic picnic from the deli on Grant Street, which had French Cheese and so much more, they even make their own smoked goods, a real winner and I didn’t see anything else to match them. I did read the trips advisor reviews before coming and some were so over rated from what we saw, I would be careful, but my advice is dont go beyond Grant Street its not worth the effort, specially if its hot. If you want a proper sit down lunch then you need to book one of the main places to eat, in advance, our friends raved about La Cuchina, Salsa, the pubs are ok if you have to go their, and apparently Jungle Fowl and Sea Bean are also really good, but they were closed when we were there. Based on all our friends and us we would say
1. For casual something to eat - Grant Street Bakery, the Grant Street Deli( you cant beat the picnic boxes) the Vietnamese on Grant Street.
2. For bigger more formal - Salsa, La Cuchina,
3. If you are able to hang around for an early dinner, Jungle Fowl( this Chef won, some great awards), Sea Bean( also well awarded) and looked a fantastic menu, the other really good stop is the Mexican, great margaritas, we went in for happy hour and they also have some snacks which were to die for.
Outside that there are lots but probably second best and expensive, as I said go past Grant Street at your peril, all the best stuff is before it the only exception is the Mexican.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would very much recommend it. Esther was a brilliant tour guide, she is vibrant and friendly and kept the group moving so we could include everything. She also made the tour interesting by sharing her knowledge and insights including things to see in the rainforest.
We enjoyed Mossman gorge and the swim/ paddle in the river, the aboriginal ceremony at the heritage centre, the boat trip on the Daintree river where we saw several crocodiles. The lunch at Turtle Rock cafe was very good, then an interesting board walk in the rainforest and visit to Cape Tribulation beach, finally a stop for delicious ice cream then the view at Alexandra lookout. A great day out which included so much.

Straff organisierter Tagesausflug von Cairns aus. Erster Stopp war am Rex Lookout, dann fuhren wir via Port Douglas zur Mossman Gorge mit vorherigem Frühstück und Rauchzeremonie am Visitor Center. Die Zeit durch das lange Warten an der Theke des Cafés war sehr knapp. Ich hatte zum Glück nur einen Kaffee bestellt, zum Essen wäre keine Zeit mehr gewesen. Zeit an der Mossman Gorge war auch eher kurz. Für Rundweg gehen und Baden musste man sich beeilen. Die Cruise auf dem Daintree war sehr schön und entspannt. Beim Mittagessensstopp war die Zeit wieder eher knapp und dem Restaurant waren die Gläser ausgegangen. (Zum Essen gab es nur Wasser vom Hahn). Dann gab es noch eine (kurze) geführte Tour durch den Regenwald bei Dubuji, die am Strand mit Blick auf das Cape Tribulation endete, wo man kurz ein wenig herumlaufen konnte. Auf der Rückfahrt gab es noch einen kleinen Eis-Essen-Stopp bei der Daintree ice factory. Eis war sehr lecker (nicht im Preis inbegriffen). Ich hätte auf letzteres und den ersten Stopp gerne verzichtet, um anderswo mehr Zeit zu haben! Unser Guide Bruce hat uns unterhaltsam geführt und zügig überall durchgeleitet. Die Sitze im Bus waren übrigens relativ schmal.

Brendan our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting throughout the day. The stops were beautiful and exceeded our expectations . It was a long day but I highly recommend this tour .

Fantastiskt resa med massor av olika intryck. Professionell guide som var mycket kunnig och skicklig på att förmedla information. Han hade bott som barn i regnskogen och viste ”allt” om naturen, historien etc

We were picked up in Cairns. However, reading the other posts to answer your question, I agree there were limited pick-up points and you should contact the company you are booked through to (tour company) more completely answer your question. Good luck and happy travels. PeterM

We we’re picked up at our hotel around 7:10 a.m.
It was a really long day with much time spent in the buss but we enjoyed it very much. Carlos was very entertaining.
We will be on a cruise on Pacific Explorer docking at 9.00 am on SATURDAY 11/09 can you pick up from the ship for a Cspe Tribulation day tour?

We will be getting off of a scuba trip at Trinity Wharf on August 11 at 7:30 a.m. Is it possible to do this 12 hour trip? Where would be need to be in relation to the wharf or can we be picked up at the wharf?

There is certainly no part of the trip a child couldn’t do. It is a very long day though where you are on the go the entire time.
As far as cost I would contact the tour company direct.
Hi, do you pick up from Blue Lagoon resort Trinity Beach. we were looking at doing this tour on sat 4th June 2022. Is this possible?

I think it’s unreasonable to expect them to go to every hotel as you would have a shorter day and miss things. A better idea is to have meeting points, as port Douglas was a bit off track maybe pick one hotel closer to highway and meet there, same in cairns.
We stayed 10 minutes outside cairns and were picked up but sure that was a pain, I think maybe 5 pick up points as we drove up and down cairns streets when sometimes the people were across the road. But this company was fantastic.
