What a fantastic afternoon. I booked this for a works social, and it was definitely worth it! Avril was a brilliant guide, her knowledge about Newcastle was amazing. The quality of the food and drinks were superb. We all had such fun, whilst learning so much about Newcastle's history. I would highly recommend this tour. I for one, will definitely be booking this again!

Got this as a gift for our 15 year old as he loves food and we were not disappointed. Our guide, Avril, was fantastic and the food stalls we were taking to were amazing. Will def do another tour going forward.

Excellent guide in Avril, very informative.

Warm welcome by the guide (Avril) including everyone in the tour. Great knowledge of the area and very interesting to hear and learn. Every venue we went to were so accommodating. Lots of flexibility to ensure the best experience no matter what your dietary requirements… including options for fussy eaters.
Great value for money as you experience new places, new foods and fabulous wine/beers.

What a fantastic time!
As someone who lives locally and loves their food I was sceptical when my partner suggested a food tour in Newcastle,
But let me tell you we were not disappointed,
We sampled some great places in the granger market my favourite being the Indian snack place,
Or possibly the bagels 👍👍
And also first time I had an oyster 🦪
But everywhere was really accommodating
And we learned about the market at the same time.
I would defiantly recommend to anybody looking for something different to do with an afternoon.

Such amazing value for money - we visited the Grainger market too and have never had such a lovely day in Newcastle! The guide was so friendly and knowledgable they really made the tour more fabulous! The food was fab trying lots of different places even for a fussy eater you will not be disappointed - can’t wait to go back and try another tour!

We were squeezed in as a party of 5 for my daughter's birthday and i honestly wished we hadnt been. Although our guide was lovely, this tour is overpriced and completely misrepresented.
We did love the Indian snack and introduction to beer in the market but all went downhill from there. No oysters in sight by the way. We thought the more expensive tour was because the food would be top notch. Sadly this wasn't the case. Although the first restaurant was gorgeous, instead of sitting outside to enjoy the weather and view, we were sat in a room by ourselves with one starter of a very rich and strong cheese mousse and a sample of beer and wine. Although a lovely place, at least 3 members could not eat this and there was no alternative offered. There is no sampling, you get what you're given! The next restaurant as a "main" was laughable. It was advertised as the finest Spanish cuisine. We were led downstairs away from the lively restaurant into a smelly basement area by the toilets where the staff hadnt even bothered to clean up after the last lot at the next tables and presented with....a charcuterie board....more cheese!!! And a side plate of the worst patatas bravas I've had the misfortune to taste. However we were all starving by this point and ate what was given. The sangria was nice though....
The last restaurant which apparently was to compromise of three taster desserts paired with three dessert wines....nope...a very rich chocolate mousse was the only option with a nice dessert wine. However by this stage, we were all feeling extremely sick and could not finish this.
Not a very thought out meal plan, too rich and nothing of any real substance.
We were not shown the beautiful quayside as promised. In fact, another guest gave us more helpful pointers of where to visit to show the true glory of Newcastle for which we were thankful.
All in all, we were all very disappointed and I was upset that I had booked this for my daughters birthday as was not as represented. When I mentioned this to the lady I booked with, she just said it depends on the restaurants you get....However surely this was the whole point of going on a food tour....that the experience is planned for you?

Thank you for your honest feedback, it’s very much appreciated. Our apologies that you didn’t feel like the tour was of a good enough standard or indeed value for money.
Since our private messages together, we have already made a few changes to the tour to give guests a choice of starter. However, we do always ask if the starter is suitable for our guests and if for example goats cheese isn’t to someone’s liking, we do actually change it.
Our restaurants and stops do change up, as stated on our website. However I completely take on board that you didn’t feel like the tapas was of a good standard that day.
With reference to no samples, our tours don’t provide little samples. We offer a variety of dining styles on the tour including all drinks. We sample food and drinks within our indoor market then it’s on to three restaurants to experience a three course meal with drinks. To say that our tour isn’t value for money, I have to say is a little unfair.
It’s disappointing that you didn’t mention in your review that after our conversation. I did say that I would be more than happy to have you all along to another tour of your choice.

Our tour was with Avril around Newcastle's Grainger Market (see the Triple A website for details. It was excellent and we totally advise you to take a bag or two or three for the bits you're too full to finish while you're there

Amazing Triple A Taste of Newcastle Tour in the Grainger Market yesterday. Andrew was our fantastic host, super interesting and attentive to the needs of our group. He introduced us to the wide range of food outlets in the Grainger market, some which have sprung up in more recent years. We will definitely be back to enjoy the hugely varied range of food and drinks available!!!

Hi, we (two adults from Norway) are visiting 3 and 4 July, and was hoping to go on a "walk and food" tour. But I can't find that you have tours on those dates.
Will there be a possibility for a tour?

Do you cater for vegetarians/pescatarians or would you need to be a meat eater to enjoy this tour?

We are all meat eaters but when I booked I was asked if there were vegetarians in my party. Our first stop was vegetarian Indian snacks. I think the6 would factor in vegetarians or any allergies as they were very accommodating.
