My tour guide Vincent Lee was amazing. The tour was great with amazing views despite the weather. The tour was paced perfectly with time for me to explore on my own as well.

We booked the half day private tour to jiufen, shifen water falls and pingxi sky lantern tour for September 19th 2024. The day before the tour I got a text from Jackson our private tour driver to confirm the pick up time and
Location and to say if we needed any assistance to reach out to him. Next day Jackson was on time and picked us up in a brand new rav4 . It was about a 40 min drive to our first stop outside taipei on the drive we chatted about taipei and decided to go to the sky lantern first because it was off and on rain till this Point and Jackson said if it rains harder it could effect the flight of the lantern and he wanted us to really enjoy the lantern. So we stopped by there first and when we got there our luck it stopped raining for the rest of the tour. The place was very crowded with people launching there lanterns.
The tour includes one lantern with on color but you can add more colors for a extra price the idea was the more colors the better and you got a big ink pen to write on the lantern your wishes to send up to the sky. Jackson offered to take video and pictures with his camera and later send it to my girlfriend's phone which he did at the end of the tour. Next stop the water falls with was about a ten minute drive. The falls was underwhelming it was like a very small Niagara falls, there was a wooden suspension bridge a fish pond where we feel fish for a small amount and along the walk some local food and fruits. The last stop the old Japanese gold mining town of Jiufen. My girlfriend was excited to see Jiufen, she is Japanese and apparently Jiufen was featured in a old Japanese movie. Jiufen was very pretty alot of good pictures. Jackson recommended a restaurant high on the top level of Jiufen overlooking the sea coast below. We ate there and headed back to our hotel in taipei on the way I told Jackson that we where going to the night market after this . He offered to drop us off at the night market instead of the hotel to save time. That's what he did Jackson was great. I would recommend this tour enjoy.

DO THIS TRIP! We are so glad that we ventured beyond the city area. Steven was GREAT! He was on time and polite. He shared a wealth of information. He supplied two free bottles of water but we had more had it is very hot. He carried umbrellas in case of rain. We had a really good time. We went to beautiful locations. It was not as crowded as I expected. A smooth, relaxing trip. THANK YOU STEVEN!!

This tour was absolutely amazing, thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Vincent! We had the best day. His van is clean, nice AC, comes with water bottles, and umbrellas. He was very informative about Taiwan culture and history. Easy to talk to and showed us all of the spots. He even gifted our kids with ice cream at the end of the day. This tour is good for kids because you get breaks driving to different parts of the city. The views are breathtaking and we fell in love with Taiwan! The lanterns were a hit with my kids but the views at the tea house for lunch can’t be beat! We even had a charcoal coffee that had won awards. We were on cloud 9 all day long. We can’t recommend this enough!

An amazing experience! Our guide, Nicolas, was exceptional — he met us promptly at our hotel lobby and kicked off our half day tour. Nicolas has so much knowledge of taiwan and provided us with so many great suggestions on things to do and eat in on our stay. We started our trip with the sky lanterns, visiting the shifen waterfall, and ending if off at jiufen old street where we got to see streets light up at night! Throughout the whole experience Nicolas was fantastic, he helped us take photos, recommended great food spots to try, and even help carry some souvenirs we bought without feeling rushed at all. Highly recommend!

Steven was a fantastic guide who answered all our questions about Taiwan. Super flexible and nice. We did a six hour Private Tour to Jiufen and Shifen. I recommend the 2pm - 8pm time slot so you can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Jiufen mountain village overlooking the ocean.

Nicholas Ying was a fantastic guide who was great at modifying the experience to cope with our moderate fitness and sore knee issues. He gave us lots of interesting information about the areas we drove through and made the transitions from place to place through beautiful country. We enjoyed seeing the cats roaming in the cat village and had a wonderful lunch here of cold noodles and a huge bowl of flavoured ice. Perfect for a hot day. The other highlights for us were the lovely tearoom at Jiufen and the sky lanterns and train coming through at Shifen. Providing a water bottle for each of us was also a nice touch. I'd highly recommend this service.

We already recommended this trip to two more couples who are going to Taiwan. We just needed the ease of traveling to the places that are harder to get to. We also wanted a private tour because we are not very into huge group tours. Roger from YOLO Taiwan was so informative and prepared. When we were in Jiufen, he brought us to ALL the yummy places and authentic foods. We also had a fun time ending the trip with Pingxi. Afterwards, he even gave us some recommendations on where to eat and go to in Taipei. The trip felt tailored to us and we would highly recommend to everyone!

Roger was just AMAZING 👌👌
It truly felt like we went on a road trip with a dear friend we knew for ages.
Roger made this trip very enjoyable and comfortable.
He was knowledgeable, gave us all the facts and wasn't pushy to buy anything or overwhelme us with too much touristy information. It was a super friendly tour.
This trip was so enjoyable, was so friendly and we truly appreciate it.
Can't recommend Roger enough. He's absolutely AMAZING.
