Took the full-day trip with pickup from our downtown hotel in Taipei. Communication with YOLO Taiwan and our assigned private tour guide, Steven, was excellent. Steven arrived at the appointed time and was very accommodating of our needs throughout the day.
Steven made convenience stops along the way and was attentive to our tendency to get motion sick in the car and so took care when traveling the windy mountainous roads.
Steven's English, humor and knowledge of the Taroko area and its indigenous peoples was fantastic. Steven was always there to take photos of us. We saw so much beauty along the way. Thank you, Steven, for the amazing trip and for helping us to create lasting memories of our visit to Taiwan!

It was a great pleasure, the tour was professional organized and the guide is takeing care about best spots to be visited without hitting the masses of tourists.

If you're in Taipei and looking for a great day trip with transportation included, this is it. The park has breathtaking scenery and is filled with natural wonders. Our guide, Vincent Lee, recommended that we start early, which made all the difference for this tour. Traffic wasn't bad on the way out, which left us more time for exploring the park. We got to Qingshui Cliffs early enough that larger tour groups had not scared away the monkeys, and we were able to hit most of the sites with minimal crowds. He took lots of pictures for us and helped commemorate our wedding anniversary. Because we saved time by beating the traffic going out and coming back, he even showed us a few sites in Taipei before dropping us off at our hotel.

My partner and I booked a private tour with Steven to Taroko Gorge from Taipei.
Steven provided great communication leading up to and during the tour and his English was excellent!
The itinerary itself was perfect for a day trip. It’s an early start (and Steven was very punctual!) with quite a bit of driving and over half a dozen sights/stops, but we never felt rushed. We actually got back to Taipei earlier than planned (mostly depends on traffic), despite us taking a bit longer than planned for the early stops.
Steven was very helpful with questions, photos, and helping us know what to expect at each stop. There were a few times where he left us “on our own” and met back up with us. This is by design due to parking limitations and it all went smoothly and just as he explained. He was super prepared throughout the trip which put us at ease.
Taroko Gorge itself is fantastic! The landscape at each stop (and even just during the drive) is beautiful, but also distinct, ie each stop adds something unique. I personally had been to about half the sights before but with this tour it felt like a new experience due to some of the stops I missed last time.
Would absolutely recommend Steven and this itinerary for anyone who wants to see what Taroko Gorge has to offer!

My sister and I were so glad we did the Taroko tour. The place is beyond beautiful. Highly recommended. Pictures can't capture it's beauty. You have to see it for yourself. Big thank you to our tour guide, Simon. He knows the place very well, gave us background info which makes us appreciate the place better. He picked us up at the hotel and brought us back on time. The private tour works good for us as we are able to manage the time ourselves. If you decide to go, ask for Simon.

Amazing! We had Steven pick us up from our hotel first thing in the morning and he tailored the whole day to our needs. Nice comfortable ride. We stopped by a convenience store for morning snacks drinks and had a wonderful lunch at the diner at Taroko Gorge. Get the steam fish and rice! Words can't do this park justice, it's so peaceful and pretty. There was so many waterfalls and caverns that rivals Yosemite. It's definitely a better choice than the bus shuttles since you can go at your own pace.

We had a wonderful day tour out in Taroko Gorge. We were so lucky to have Vincent as our Tour guide.
He made contact with us 2-3 days well ahead before our tour to prepare us for out day out. He suggested we leave an hour or 1.5 hour earlier for our tour to best the Taipei traffic. We decide to trust his advice and hit the road an hour earlier. We were well rewarded with a hassle free drive out of Taipei and back in again.
Vincent is a very experienced and professional guide. He took us to the best spots, knew exactly where to get the best motives for you to take your pictures. We beat the crowds at all the scenic places. We will have many pleasant moments … looking thru these pictures taken on this tour.
Vincent went all out of his way to make this day memorable. He is the best tour guide we have ever experienced.

Day started as early as 6am for us but started at 5am for Matie. Matie greeted us with her warmth smile outside the car in the cold morning. We slept on the car and once we arrived at the destination, she gave us introduction and history about the tour while showing us the local scenery. She has very good knowledge and was very well prepared to give her best, you will definitely enjoy the trip. She took good photos for us and even taught me how to pose like a model🤣 Unforgettable experience indeed! Thank you so much for being so great!

Matie picked us up bright and early and was waiting for us outside our hotel way before the scheduled time. We managed to get our breakfast at the first stop of our rest station and we had a wonderful day for the whole trip throughout. Matie is an excellent guide, well spoken and learned about the history and briefed us on the various experiences we were about to go through the entire day both during the car ride and when we were walking about the scenic walking trails in Taroko Gorge. We had a wonderful day with the excellently planned trip and were back at the hotel before dinner time. Many nice photos were taken throughout the trip as well and we thank the team for a wonderful guide.
