This accommodation is not value for money even considering that accommodation is expensive in Scone. The cabin was an old portable cabin resting on above ground blocks. The steps going up to the cabin were old with bad spacing between steps. Made going down unsteady. The bed had a mattress where you rolled to the middle. The handle on the bathroom door was hanging off. The toaster had no knob on the end of the lever to lower the bread into the toaster. The location is off the main highway but still busy with traffic so it was noisy and the train tracks were nearby with coal trains going throughout the night. Won’t be visiting again
Booked Easter here for 4 families. One family had a daughter in a wheel chair and we were told that the caravan park was suitable to wheel chairs ect.Luckily one family went earlier to drop off their caravan to find it wasn’t suitable for wheel chairs at all. There are no disabled toilet or showers and no area for children to play.I rang to explain that we were unable to stay there as were told incorrect details and were told we all would loose our money as we cancelled within 24 hours. Can understand we cancelled late but as we couldn’t stay there due to incorrect information given should have received a refund.A few families got 50% refund which was ok with us but unfortunately the family with disabled child was told no refund at all. Very run down park.Would not recommend staying there at all.Very disappointing…
Cabin was comfortable, clean and warm. Nicely decorated. Reccommended. Owner keen to build up his business. Listened and understands the value of feedback. Don't be put off by the older vans scattered around.
We arrived late on a Sunday evening to find an instant welcome awaiting and an upgrade. We paid in full when booking. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Accommodation very comfortable in convenient, location. Certainly appreciated the good customer service.
Stayed three nights here. Mark and Jo, resident managers, are truly nice people. Mark is a whiz at reversing your van into sites. Don't be embarrassed to take up his offer to do it! This is a small, older caravan park with clean facilities and, in particular, the showers have good curtains that protects you towel, clothes, etc from getting wet while you enjoy the hot water. Hand basins had plugs for us old-fashioned types who shave with a razor blade. Not the flashest caravan park, but certainly not the most expensive either. Fronts the highway, but that was no problem to us.
