I stayed at the RV resort for about a week and have what I hope is a fair review of the resort. There are different sites, some with more hook ups than others. I had a pull through full hook up site with cable. I was in one of the first rows going toward the back of the park and at the end of the row. I say this to give an idea of why I was disturbed by noise. Hwy. 101 was very near my site, so traffic noise was very noticeable 24 hours a day. 18 wheelers occasionally woke me during the night. The trash truck shook my trailer in the early morning hours. And the fishermen and crabbers hooked up their boats beside my trailer in the wee hours of the morning. Their diesel trucks woke me, as well. So if night time and early morning noise bothers you, ask for a site away from the highway and away from where the boats are parked. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. There is a very nice laundry area near the front of the campground which was very convenient. The little store has a small but nice selection of items (drinks, groceries, sundries, etc.). You can get your propane tanks filled and buy firewood. The staff I encountered were extremely helpful and gracious. Super as a matter of fact. There are divisions of bushes between each campsite, different from all the other RV parks in the area (trailers side by side with no privacy). I would have given the park a much higher rating if not for: Noise rules not adhered to or enforced (primarily in the mornings). And most of all, although this is suitable for families, it is visually not appealing. The RV sites are trashy (due to occupants), piled with freezers, coolers, items that according to the rules are not allowed on the sites. People crowd both ends of their sites with trucks and boats, leaving a tight space for new occupants to navigate through when pulling into their sites. Freezers, refrigerators, more than one vehicle plus RV per site, cats running around the park are all prohibited according to the rules. When someone at the desk was asked about this, I was told that they couldn't enforce the rules "because the owner makes exceptions." This hardly sets the standard for all park residents. And, the park looks trashy and crowded due to this. If rules are not going to be enforced, why have them? If the new owners are truly trying to improve the park, they need to realize the impression people have and that bad publicity will eventually hurt them. Granted, there are many full time or long term residents. Those keep the park profitable year round. But .... rules are rules and first impressions last.…
