Dear Sir or Madame, thank you for taking the time and share your experiences in the Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center. One of our most important tasks is to learn directly from our guests about their experience at our hotel. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of friendly and courteous service and ensure a consistent standard of excellence throughout our facility. While it was a pleasure having you at the Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center as our guest, we are really sad to realize that we did not meet your expectations. I am personally sorry that the selection of the food did not meet your expectation and the quality of it has also fallen short. I have started a deeper investigation in your case and I found out that the service charge was shown on the bill twice, because in Hungary we have different taxes. For example the VAT of the pizza is 5% but any kind of packaged food's, drinks' or alcohol's VAT is 27%, which were not prepared in the hotel (pepsi products, wine etc). This is the reason the Service charge was shown in two lines. Although the service charge is always charged by the total amount, not by the cover. I have forwarded your comment to the responsible department, and upholding our commitment to provide a memorable experience with exceptional service, we hope to have an opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Budapest.
