We have had a wonderful holiday first tracks is in an Excellant location, completely refurbished and very clean not sure if the other comment was for this property ! We had two families stay here and we had so much room with the self contained annexe, the snow and skiing was great varied enough for all abilities and the hot tub proved to be a great end to the day, would recommend this property highly .
Our family rented the First Tracks Lodge where we stayed for five nights over Christmas. We were INCREDIBLY disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of our house, in particular: 1. A LOT of mouse droppings in the garage. 2. Mold on the master bedroom bathroom door. 3. Blood on the wall in one of the upstairs bedrooms.... 4. Floor mats in the garage and front entrance were disgustingly dirty. 5. Splats of who-knows-what on the walls throughout the house. 6. Very large stain on the carpet in the living room. It appeared as though someone vomited and it was never properly cleaned up. 7. Dirty underwear found under the bed in one of the bedrooms in the lower level. 8. Fingernail clippings found in the couch cushions in the lower level. 9. Cheezies & potato chips found in the cushions and under couch in the living room. 10. Not one dish, glass, cooking utensil, etc. found in the lower level kitchen. 11. Grill on the barbeque was filthy. 12. Carpets were so dirty we did not feel comfortable letting our kids sit on the floor to open their Christmas gifts. 13. Ran out of Kleenex on second day. Never restocked. 14. Ran out of coffee on the second day. Never restocked. 13. Not nearly enough dish soap. We ended up having to purchase and use our own. 13. Only FOUR garbage bags for TWELVE people for SIX days over Christmas. 15. Hot tub leaked. This was eventually serviced on our second last day but we were unable to use it until 8:00 pm. 16. Dust in absolutely every corner and window ledge. 17. Constant issues with wireless Internet connection. 18. Extremely rude front counter staff upon check in. We paid approximately $6,000 to rent this house over the Christmas for our family of 12 to celebrate the holidays together. This is a SIGNIFICANT amount of money. At the very least, we expected a house that was CLEAN. We are very disappointed with our accommodations and will most certainly not ever recommend renting through your establishment.…

As respected Vacation Rental Managers with over 20 years experience, we are always appreciative of ANY comments relating to our properties, and ways in which we can improve on our product and service offerings. From receiving reviews such as yours, we decisively set out to improve and exceed. One such example is the recent reshuffle of management and staff, including our housekeeping and reservations / front desk departments. As a result, the standards of cleaning are far higher, and the information given to prospective guests is more comprehensive. In your case, this is far from compensation for the poor quality of service recieved during your stay, however we would be more than happy to discuss this matter further at your convenience should you wish to afford us this opportunity.
