Press Release Fire of 23 January: Hotel Clarendon closed until December 1st Quebec, Clarendon hotel in old Quebec suffered heavy damages during the fire on January 23rd 2019. Renovation Work will extend over several months and the reopening of the hotel is planned only on 1 December 2019. The inspection of damages, especially caused by water, is still under way and it is not possible to establish the amount of damage at the moment. However, the establishment has already received confirmation that almost all rooms are to be completely redone. All group or individual bookings must be cancelled until the hotel reopens. The Clarendon team managed to relocate groups until the end of February, and individual reservations until February 6 The partners of the establishment will be responsible for the follow-up, with the collaboration of the hoteliers in the sector who are ready to " we are extremely grateful that no one was injured in the fire and would like to thank our employees, whose vigilance and professionalism led to a rapid response from the firefighters. We have a special thought for our employees who now have to find a new job. The Clarendon door will be wide open for them next december ", said Marc-Olivier Côté, co-owner of the clarendon since 2012. As stated in your comment, the Clarendon is the oldest hotel in town, as it was built in 1870! 上個周末聖誕節時在這裏住了四個晚上,這裏的位置絕對是遊覽老城的最佳位置,到哪裡都很近,可以坐公交輕鬆到達更遠的地方(比如蒙特倫西瀑布)。這是一個很具有特色的酒店,歷史悠久,氛圍復古,但是現代化設施一應俱全。員工一直都很專業和樂於助人。我們在大雪中從Gare du Palais火車站走回來后,行李員幫我們拿了包,特別感謝。餐廳的早餐很不錯,我們的兒子每天都去吃自助早餐(他肚子從來吃不飽),但是我妻子和女兒覺得點單的雞蛋餅和班尼迪克蛋性價比更高,吃了后逛幾個小時都不餓。總之物有所值的酒店,一定會再來住的,強烈推薦,謝謝。
