I did a one-night stopover on a cycling trip. The house is a (1950s) backsplit design with the B&B accomodation in the lower and back side split. (Imagine a large backsplit for a family of 6, and the kids have left so you've got an unused den and bedroom downstairs...) That split walks out onto an incredible view and great seating area. The breakfast was absolutely the best I had on my 2-week trip. The volume, selection and home-made ness of some of the jams and muffins was top notch. The room has large sliding glass doors looking out on to the bay. I believe there's another B&B room in the house, and had there been someone else there we'd have shared a large indoor seating area and well equipped bathroom with sauna. The only thing I'd note is that its location is called "Richibucto", but, it's 5 km from Richibucto proper, and there's really not much between the B&B and town. So don't plan on strolling from the B&B into town and back.…

房間建議:The room left looking onto the bay has a great walkout onto the back seating area.
This is a B&B with 2 rooms on the outskirts of a small community on the acadian coast, close to Moncton (60 km), Bouctouche (marvelous sand dune) and Miramichi (also a great place to visit). The house is meters away from the river's estuary (really a large bay) and facing east. The rooms are spacious, clean and decorated in a nice "homey" style. The beds were very confortable and were on the firm side - excellent for my back. The linen was nice and clean. The two bedrooms share one full bathroom (with a large accessible shower - ideal for handicapped persons) and a common room. Each bedroom have their own toilet and sink. There is even a sauna (not tried) available for a small ($5) surcharge. The two rooms open onto the backyard (with a private entrance) on a small patio with chairs and tables. From the inside (and the outside), you have a view on the bay with a provincial park on the left side. I enjoyed the sunrises that this situation allowed. The bay was quite quiet with a few motorboats zipping around once in a while and there was a local tending an oyster bed not far the property (but thankfully with a boat with a quiet motor). Overall, I would rate this as quiet as it goes in a place close to civilization. The temperature being about right, I enjoyed two breakfasts on the patio. The breakfast are extremely tasty with an emphasis on local production and the host's garden. Although the portions would be considered small by american standards, there were such a large variety that it made for a very satisfying breakfast with many unusually tasty treats. This being the season, I had a wild blueberry pancake and sauted wild chanterelles (a particularly tasty mushroom) as a treat. That was accompanied by traditional bacon and eggs (very tasty/crisp bacon!). The hostess was charming and friendly and made me feel right at home. The house is modern, apparently built in a sustainable mode. There is a nice breeze coming in the room if you care to leave the door open with the screen door (however, in the middle of august, there were no mosquitoes). In summary, a nice quiet place with healthy and complete breakfasts composed of many small portions of local fare. On par with the best B&B I visited around the world.…
