While a small campground, it is beautiful and very well taken care of. The ocean is just a set of stairs away. Super quiet at night and very adequate restrooms and location of them. Highly recommend this place for families!
This was a default choice as a few others that we wanted to go to had been recently sprayed with a herbicide that was not good for dogs so we ended up at Seal Rock. This is a large campground right on Hood Canal. Running water and flush toilets are a plus here and the sites are clean, large and have massive picnic tables and large fire pits. Some of the sites are ADA approved and have a unique extended picnic table that makes it possible for a wheelchair to roll under for use. There is a great trail that rides the bank along the shoreline with a number of view spots with benches as well as numerous plaques telling the unique history of the area. This is a very busy campground on the weekends so be prepared for the crowds. $18.00 per site, which is pretty average for this state. Really enjoyed the stay.…
We had an abrupt change in camping plans due to ferry logistics and decided to camp on the west side of Hood Canal. We decided on Seal Rock Campground and were not disappointed. What a beautiful setting; both the campground and the shores of Hood Canal looking east. The weather was perfect; sunny and warm with a breeze. We had a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. While sitting on the beach, we saw bald eagles, herons, harbor seals and cedar waxwings. This won't be our last trip here. What a delightful trip.
We just stayed three fabulous nights at Seal Rock in one of the pull thru sites just above the water (38). Says nothing bigger than 21' but our 28' fit fine and lots of other bigger RVs too! No hook- ups. Amazing view from our motorhome. Campsites are private and lush with greenery! It was not overcrowded and although the shellfish were closed due to red tide, it made the beach even quieter. Keep in mind this is a rocky beach but nice warm water! Dogs can't go on beaches here but plenty of places to walk them otherwise with views of the water! This place had the nicest camp hosts I've ever encountered! Not to nosy-those drive me nuts- but gently made thier presence known, very informative of the area and came around Saturday night with treats for all the kids and even the dogs! She has beautiful planters of flowers along the walkways. She and her husband walked around and asked people if that needed anything which is almost unheard of anymore! We will definitely be back! Been to almost all Hood Canal campgrounds and this or a beach front site at Belfair State Park are as good as it gets. …
