I have often brought my daughter to this park. It has a large playground, splash pad and the lake is a few feet away from the playground. lots of grass for a picnic and trails all along the waterfront to walk or bike. Some parts of the trail may still be off limits still because of recent erosion from the rising waters earlier this year.

Nice walking areas and benches to sit. Well maintained grass. Lots of open space for kids to run around. Mosquito spray mandatory! Lots of bugs..

I have always enjoyed going to Rotary Park in the summer. Very relaxing atmosphere for solo, friends or family outing. Beautiful scenery.

Two of my friends arrived in the park and there were only few people. No need to pay for parking or any entrance fee.
There was huge parking area. There was a playground and complete facilities, also a clean washroom.
Walked by the lake barefooted. The water was clear, although it was still chilly, we took pictures where the blue skies and the clear waters met.
There were children running around in the playground. Feel free to use the tables to eat your snacks. There was also a dog trainer with his students (with their dogs).
Enjoyed every minute, it was a perfect view of God's creations on a beautiful Saturday morning!

It was lovely to walk the paved walkway and enjoy the lake view. Very clean and a lot of natural vegetation.

This is a lovely park on Lake Ontario. Has lovely paths for walking, running or riding your bike. Areas of to the side for picnics. Area's for the kids to play and run around and a splash park. Great for all seasons. In the summer you see the boats out on the water and families enjoying a day by the lake and enjoying family time. Great place for all ages.

Great place to walk in all seasons. Not only do you have the Lake Ontario waterfront, but there is also some forest areas as well.

This park is great for the whole family from young children to adults alike, the only issue I had is the paid splash pad/pool, my young children (5 and 8) wanted to go in the pool, I did not have a bathing suit or had any intention of going into the pool or splash pad, but I was told that if I wanted to go supervise my young kids I had to pay for myself I was willing to pay for them as they would be using it, i would have had to pay $12 for me as well, I think that was taking advantage of the situation. My kids did not get to go in.

There are a few shelters and bbqs but you'd have to get there early. Lots of room to spread a blanket out on the grass

Also, remember that, "As always, pets are welcome within the park system in the Town of Ajax; however, it is important to note that a dog must be leashed in these areas. An unleashed dog within an Ajax park, other than the two designated Leash Free Dog Areas, is illegal in the Town of Ajax and could result in a $500 ticket.
Residents and visitors using the park system with their pets are asked to clear away any pet waste that may be created during their time in the park. Keeping pet waste clear helps create a clean and healthy environment for all visitors young and old." - The Town of Ajax website

Splash Pads (open late June to early September)
Ajax owns and operates four splash pads:
NEW Carruthers Marsh Pavilion - 55 Ashbury Blvd South (west corner of Ashbury Blvd. and Audley Rd. S.)
Rotary Park - 177 Lake Driveway (at Driveway at the mouth of Duffins Creek)
McLean Community Centre - 95 Magill Drive (Magill and Westney)
Audley Recreation Centre - 1955 Audley Road North (Audley and Taunton)
Splash pads are open 7 days/week (9 a.m. to dusk), weather permitting.
